Refer a store
Share your referral link. When an organization signs up through it, that organization is credited to you, and you earn a percentage of everything they pay us, across every store they run, for as long as they're a customer.
One-time setup
- Open the Partner Program page from your org's left nav.
- Click Accept partner terms. This enrolls your org in the program and mints your referral link.
- Copy the referral link from the panel that appears.
The link looks like https://dashboard.veryquery.com/?ref=<token>. The token is unique to your org; it's how we identify a new signup as coming from you.
Sharing the link
Paste it anywhere a prospective customer might click: an email to a contact, a Slack message, a tweet, a blog post, your website footer. The link works the same in every context. We don't track which channel produced the signup, only which org's token was attached.
Your link is remembered in their browser for 60 days, so a signup completed any time within that window is credited to you, not only an immediate one. The decision is made at signup, not at first visit. If they followed more than one partner's link before signing up, the first one wins. A signup from a different browser, or after the 60-day window, isn't attributed.
What you earn
What's credited to you is the organization that signs up, not a single store. You earn on everything that organization pays VeryQuery, including any additional stores they add under it later, for as long as they're a customer. The credit stays with that organization through renames and ownership changes. It doesn't extend to a separate organization the same people might start later: that's a new signup, since we attribute organizations rather than tracking a business across several of them.
Every charge the merchant pays us produces a rev-share ledger entry on your side. The rate is fixed at the time the attribution is created; later changes to the program's default rate don't apply retroactively. The entry enters a 30-day grace period (during which a refund voids it), then becomes eligible for payout.
You'll see pending balance, paid history, and recent payout transfers on the Partner Program page. Each transfer deep-links to Stripe so you can verify on Stripe's side.
Getting paid
Before any rev share can leave our balance, you need to complete Stripe Connect onboarding. That handles identity verification, your bank routing, and the tax forms (1099-K) the IRS requires.
You start onboarding from the same page; the button appears once you've accepted the partner terms. Stripe runs the form, and we get back a "ready" signal when you're done.
Payouts themselves are admin-initiated by VeryQuery, not automatic. You'll see the eligible balance on your panel; the actual transfer happens when our team runs the payout queue. No "request payout" button on your side.
Refunds and chargebacks
If a merchant gets refunded inside the 30-day grace period, the matching rev-share entry is reversed, and no money was paid out, so nothing to claw back. If the refund hits after we've already paid out the entry, we pause future payouts to you and reconcile the offset against the next eligible balance.
This is all in the Partner Program Terms in detail.
Updates to the terms
If we materially change the partner terms (rate, payout structure, anti-fraud language), your existing acceptance stops being current. You'll see a banner on the Partner Program page asking you to re-accept. New rev-share entries park as held until you do. They release the moment you re-accept.
