Shopify
Everything about the Shopify integration: how to connect your store, the storefront surfaces you can drop into your theme, how brand matching works, and what to do when disconnecting.
The Shopify page in your dashboard
Once you've installed the app, the dashboard's Shopify page is where you configure the integration.
- Connection panel
- Shows your connected store, the install status, and an Embed status block listing whether each storefront feature is currently placed in your theme.
- Theme panel
- Reads your active theme's design tokens (fonts, colors, spacing) so the storefront surfaces match your brand without you styling them by hand.
The storefront feature settings themselves (whether search shows filters, the "More like this" and Add to cart options, card counts, and so on) live in your Shopify theme editor, on the VeryQuery app embed and on each storefront block you place. The dashboard's Shopify page is for the connection, brand theming, and embed-placement status; the per-feature controls are in the theme editor next to where each feature appears.
Get started
Connect your store: install the app, approve permissions, and let your catalog sync.
Storefront surfaces
Six surfaces become available once you're connected. Turn them on per-feature, in any order.
Storefront search
A ranked grid (with sort + filters) that replaces the default Shopify search results page.
Smart Categories
A tile grid of auto-derived categories.
Similar items
A "More like this" row on product pages.
Trending items
A row of items shaped by your shoppers' recent searches, with an auto-detected headline.
Curated items
A themed row of products picked from a natural-language brief you write in the theme editor.
Signals capture
Anonymous shopper-action recording that feeds your Intelligence map.
Customizing
- Match your brand
- How brand tokens are derived and overridden.
- Shopper actions
- Which storefront events feed VeryQuery, and which we never read.
For developers
- Render your own search
- Keep the app's catalog sync and ranking, but render the results with your own theme markup by calling our Shopify App Proxy. No server, no API key.
- Fully headless integration
- Own the whole integration server-side (Hydrogen, Remix, custom storefront) with the /v1 API and your own API key.
Other
- Disconnect or remove
- What happens to your data when you uninstall.
